I've always loved horses ... from the time I was about five years old and the neighbor girls who lived further up our dirt road brought their horse down and gave me a ride walking along our long driveway to the barn. I was in heaven! But when we got our own farm some years later, we didn't have a place or money for horses ... only dairy cows.
Fast forward to my adulthood and I decided to take riding lessons and even leased a horse for a summer. It was pretty awesome and I miss it, although I'm a bit more nervous about riding since the time I fell off, onto my head.
But let's not go there. These days one of my granddaughters has horse fever and a horse of her own. She rides and barrel races and is having a blast. So I got to thinking about how many cowgirls and cowboys are Christians and decided to design a line of clothing and products with those faithful cowboys and cowgirls - the young ones in training and the adults having fun and doing rodeo - in mind.
I'm super excited about it, and the few things I got uploaded to the store this weekend are just a sampling of the line I hope to create and develop in the months to come!
